Job Description

Cerners Population Health team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer. In this role youll have the opportunity to work with the team in an iterative software development life-cycle (SDLC). Youll be responsible for the implementation and the completion of new components, services, tools and integration with the existing products. Youll be accountable that quality applications are developed to meet specified business needs. To do so you must have a thorough understanding of requirements and a deep understanding of software engineering domains. The position requires development primarily in Java, Ruby on Rails, Java Script, HTML5, CSS, and SQL with some additional work in AWS and/or Azure. In this role you should have experience developing in Java and JavaScript and have a deep knowledge of and experience with both the React and/or Angular JS frameworks and SQL based databases.Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related Technology field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • At least 3 years of engineering work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 3 years in development primarily in Java, Ruby on Rails, Java Script, HTML5, CSS, and SQL with some additional work in AWS and/or Azure
  • At least 3 years of experience with React and/or Angular JS frameworks and SQL based databases
Expectations
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
