Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will write and configure code for new and upgraded solutions in accordance with technical specifications. Your responsibilities will include analyzing, designing, coding, debugging, testing and modifying new software enhancements while considering software abilities. You will also create strategic technical designs for small scope projects within the team providing high-level architecture guidance and develop specifications to resolve software problems. As a member of this team, you will consult with stakeholders on current functionality and complexity of adding features as well as estimate effort for current and future projects of small to medium scope. You will also debug complicated issues that span multiple modules, involve complex concurrency or low-level problems, propose and lead process improvements for development, deployment or application monitoring as well as share knowledge within the team through mentorship, coaching, technical talks and blogs.Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent work experience in a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of Software engineering work experience
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong working knowledge experience in SQL Server 2008-2014 (create/modify stored procedures, DB tables and views).
  • Experience with Crystal Report 2008-2014 (Create/modify Crystal reports).
  • Strong working knowledge with Visual Studio (BIDS tool) 2008-2014 (Create/modify SSIS pkgs, modifying Cubes), scheduling the SSIS pkgs in Cerners job scheduler.
  • Experience with using any FTP client to send files securely.
  • Experience with basic scripts to run SSIS pkgs and using Windows scheduler.
  • Experience with understanding regular expressions.
    • Any programming language background ( C, C#, Java, VB etc).
    • Experience with writing/modifying scripts (Java scripts, VB scripts, Perl scripts, Dos scripts) used for automating processes.
    • Working knowledge in following data base environment and applications
    • Soarian Financial,
    • Soarian Clinical.
  • Must live within 60 miles of a virtually approved city
