Job Description

Client in Philadelphia is looking for a Jira Administrator: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLE S1. Keep the lights on: Set-up, administration, maintenance, upgrade, and technical support of Jira and Confluence (Cloud version) in support of 2,000 users (on-shore and off-shore).2. 24x7 System Availability: Ensure Jira and Confluence is up and running 24X7, which may require working evenings and weekends. Be available during the instance outages and post regular updates on progress3. Plug-Ins: Maintain and configure 3rd party add-ons for Atlassian products to provide enhanced capabilities (Portfolio for JIRA, Script Runner, Zephyr, etc.). Be able to write Python and groovy scripts for workflow enhancements and other automation enhancements4. Internal Client Support: Support on average 20-25 client requests, with a 2-day SLA. Request examples: design custom workflows, fields, screens, dashboards, and reports5. Expert Internal Consultant: Be the Go To person who understands and advises on best practices of project setup and maintenance6. Training: Schedule and conduct lunch and learn sessions , one-on-one training on JIRA and Confluence usage, administration, and operational use and best practices7. Migration: If required, migrate across multiple JIRA and Confluence instances, handle and tweak XML backups as needed.TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS* 4+ years experience with Jira and Confluence configuration and administration, preferably Cloud version * Highly proficient in Python, Groovy Scripting, SQL and Oracle database querying and maintenance * Hands-on experience with set-up and maintenance of Jira Portfolio and Script Runner * Plus: working knowledge with Ruby, Tableau, big data analytics and data ware housingOTHER REQUIREMENTS* Ensure Jira and Confluence is up and running 24X7, which may require working evenings and weekends * Experience working in a truly fast-paced agile environment - no kidding.* Experience managing multiple internal and external client requests and meeting deliverable SLAs * Leader, self-starter, ability to work with little direction in a fast paced and ever-changing environment * Great relationship building skills given interface with people of all levels including Executive Leadership * Be courteous and open to work with diverse teams across different time zones * Effective written and verbal communication skills * Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related fieldThis person will be managing plug ins and needs to be able to have skills that can go in front of leadership. Mary is a director but it goes all the way up. The development community needs to feel comfortable with them as well. Hands on, technical, and presence to be presentable. Needs to be able to work with end users (c-suite level and developers) to understand and satisfy their needs.Daily Responsibility Breakdown: Admin = 95% ---> Coding/dev = 5-10%Development experience - there is multi-functionality in this role so there will be some coding. Workflows is the application that utilizes script runner plug ins. For this to work, there needs to be python and ruby running in background. So experience with this means the team member can work with existing scripts or create new ones to improve the functionality. i. Python or Ruby would be ideal b.
