Leidos has an immediate opportunity for a CAD Designer in our Framingham, MA office. The successful candidate will work in a team atmosphere to provide technical and project support for distribution line projects and other tasks, as assigned. The CAD Designer will be responsible for design and planning efforts related to distribution physical facilities. This includes preparation of drawings specifications and reports to define the scope of work associated with the construction of distribution lines. The CAD Designer will prepare or review Construction One-Line Drawings, Plan View Drawings, Plan and Profile Drawings, Permit Drawings, Easement Sketches, Petition Sketches, and Land Base Surveys utilizing AutoCAD as well as AutoCAD Civil 3D. The CAD Designer will support engineers with specific assignments like reviewing supplied drawings, balancing schedules and due dates, and perform analyses in association with distribution projects. Additionally, the successful candidate will periodically interface with clients, and will provide assistance to Project Engineer.
Qualifications:

? High School diploma. Associates Degree in Engineering strongly preferred.

? 2+ years of experience. Candidate must be fluent in Microstation and AutoCAD Civil 3D, specifically creating plan and profile drawings.

? Demonstrated excellent oral and written communications skills required

? Detail oriented

? AutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil 3D

? Microstation

? Ability to learn/pick up various distribution specific software and standards (PLS CADD, Sag 10, etc.)
