JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide tracking/accounting support in the Airdrop areas of personnel, cargo and helicopter sling load systems to Natick Soldier Research, Development and Engineering Center (NSRDEC). Maintain and update Natick?s data tracking system for contracts to include all new Technical Data Packages (TDP) and drawing revisions resulting from approved change activities, listing and processing of all designated archived drawing packages, and assignment of numbers for new drawings. Serve as a representative of NSRDEC, responsible for furnishing information, accounting data and various administrative/tracking support to DLA (Defense Logistics Agency) on a variety of items. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Ensure the Aerial Delivery Engineering Support Team (ADEST) meets deadline requirements: monitor deadlines and send out notifications when needed. -Provide monthly accounting data -Monitor, track and follow up on all outstanding items to help ensure progress and resolution - Review material certifications and test reports for completeness and accuracy. - Respond to daily correspondence and inquiries from Government agencies on contracts, general requirements and issues. -Reviews, coordinates, and controls various information received at NSRDEC within assigned areas to insure timely responses; technical adequacy, consistency with overall Engineering Support Program performance and funding objectives, and standardization related matters. -Provide monthly accounting data -Issue detailed reports on products and materials when needed -Work internally and with other government services to improve inspection, reporting, and tracking processes -File and log all correspondence with Industry and DLA for official record and accountability -Create shipping requests for returning items to Industry and track returns - Inspect first article test (FAT) and production lot test (PLT) aerial delivery items against the technical data package (TDP) to verify items are manufactured correctly.
