Northrop Grumman Missions Systems Sector in Linthicum, Maryland is seeking an AssociateSoftware Engineer to support Systems and Software Engineering Applications within the Engineering Environment Development & Support (EEDS) organization. The Engineering Environment Development & Support (EEDS) group is an engineering organization that provides expert-level support for numerous Engineering applications as well as ensuring that the Mission Systems Engineers have the rights tools to complete their tasks. The Systems/Software team within EEDS is seeking an individual to assist with the support of a collection of Systems & Software Engineering applications. The initial scope will be to gain a general understanding of the Systems and Software Engineering applications used within the Mission Systems Sector and provide secondary support to existing personnel. Candidates must create and document processes and/or scripts to support and/or improve the existing Systems/Software Development process implemented within applications deployed within the Mission Systems Sector. Candidates are responsible for support of developing requirements documentation and assist with applications installs on client workstations and servers. Candidates must review industry trends within the realm of Systems/Software Engineering in order to generate upgrade/migration schedules applicable to multiple development environments.Position is based in Linthicum, Maryland but may require travel to surrounding Northrop Grumman campuses. Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline At least 3 months of professional experience within the software/systems industry gaining exposure to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Experience with Engineering Design, Requirements Management, and Configuration Management processes Experience communicating with Customers, other technical teams, and senior management to report status, proactively identify and resolve issues, collect and refine requirement Candidates must be US Citizens with the ability toobtain andmaintain aDoD Secret (or higher) clearance Preferred Qualifications:
Systems and Software Engineering experience on large and small scale programs Active Secret Clearance
